Road4FAME is supported by the European Factories of the Future Research Association (EFFRA), established to represent the private side in the ‘Factories of the Future’ public-private partnership (PPP).

EFFRA works closely with the European Commission to shape the partnership’s research agenda (the ‘Factories of the Future’ multi-annual roadmap) and to ensure that research priorities are relevant to the needs of European industry. EFFRA promotes the ‘Factories of the Future’ PPP, its projects and undertakes activities to encourage the clustering and exploitation of project results. Building on the EFFRA framework, Road4FAME will elaborate on its implications for IT architectures and services.
